Unreal Level Design

Over the course of the month I had the best time making a creepy and scary night time hospital level. There were times where I felt like giving up but with a little bit of patients and help from others I was able to succeed in having a creepy level. The major thing I learned is that lighting helps create mood and that mood creates the setting for the player to believe it could be real. Once I got the lighting to almost done I started to add in decals which I never knew how to do before which I found out is easy to get carried away with, so I decided to dial them down a bit sometimes less is more. To me the level still was not feeling creep and old enough to me. I got a good critique in which they showed me that a lot creepy levels have saturated colors. Once I changed the materials and imported them into Unreal I felt that it was almost completed. The lights had to be changed yet again to allow the materials to feel more real it did not take as long as the first time since the lights
